There are moments when I travel that simply take my breath away and the visit to the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca Morocco was no exception.
I have never entered a Mosque, so my expectations were free to encounter what ever was presented to me.
As I walked towards this majestic building it was truly a spectacle to see with the ornate doors, the detailing in the tiles that adorned the walls and the intricate details that seem to decorate each arch way ceiling that you wandered under as you became dwarfed but the simple size of the building itself.
As I entered the building I was once struck by the intricate craftsmanship of the wood and plaster work that adorned every surface.
As I wandered within these walls I was grappling at how to capture images that would do this magnificent building justice, I am not sure that I managed that fully but I feel I managed to capture moments that will for ever remind me of this awe inspiring and majestic building.
